FutureFit AI Homepage Re-Design

Turning the Homepage into a Personalized Journey, Not Just a Landing Page

Overview

Overview

FutureFit AI helps individuals navigate their career growth through personalized job, learning, and skill recommendations. But our original homepage wasn’t delivering that value upfront. Users landed, hesitated, and left — often before discovering anything relevant to them.

As the Senior Product Designer leading this redesign, I reframed the homepage as a personalized discovery engine rather than a static landing page. My goal was to create a space that immediately showed users something meaningful, reduced ambiguity, and encouraged them to explore further.

By aligning with Product, Data, and Engineering, I redesigned the experience to guide users toward opportunities faster — transforming the homepage into a high-impact entry point that deepened engagement from the very first session.

The existing homepage struggled to meet users’ needs across discovery, navigation, and retention. We needed to deliver relevance faster — helping users discover jobs, learning, and resources aligned with their goals from the moment they arrived.

Discovery & Relevance

Only 3.6% of active users were completing meaningful actions (like saving a job). Recommendations often felt generic and disconnected from user intent.

Wayfinding

Navigation was unintuitive. On average, users spent over two minutes trying to locate relevant content — a high cognitive load for something that should feel effortless.

Retention

With only 41% of active users returning after one month, the homepage wasn’t providing enough value to draw them back.

Competitive Audit & Thematic Mapping: I analyzed top platforms to uncover key engagement themes — personalization, global search accessibility, and early data collection for relevance.

Collaborative Workshop: We held a cross-functional session with Product and Data, which I led, to define which user insights would make our recommendations more meaningful.

Our goal was simple but ambitious: deliver instant value

To achieve that, I focused on three key pillars: Smarter Discovery, where I shaped a unified global search that brings together jobs, careers, learning, and resources into one intuitive experience; Personalization with Purpose, using onboarding and profile data to deliver recommendations that feel instantly relevant and grounded in each user’s goals; and Ease and Delight, crafting clean, consistent layouts with thoughtful motion to make every interaction feel effortless across devices.

We conducted unmoderated 20-minute sessions with 28 users through UserFeel, and I focused the testing criteria on time-to-value, discoverability, and engagement. Together, we compared two prototype variations to understand which flow better supported early momentum.

In parallel, I refined the wireframes and we reviewed them with Product, Customer Success, and Leadership — ensuring alignment between user needs and business goals before moving into final design.

What Started as a Homepage Redesign Became a Shift in How Users Feel

This project reinforced that designing for immediacy is designing for trust. By transforming the homepage into a true discovery hub, we helped users find value faster while strengthening engagement through personalization.

Collaborating across Product, Data, and Engineering allowed us to create a system that continuously learns — evolving with user behavior instead of remaining static.

In the end, the redesign didn’t just improve metrics; it redefined how users experience momentum, connection, and purpose the moment they land on FutureFit AI.

FutureFit AI Homepage Re-Design

Turning the Homepage into a Personalized Journey, Not Just a Landing Page

Overview

FutureFit AI helps individuals navigate their career growth through personalized job, learning, and skill recommendations. The homepage is the first touchpoint — a space meant to motivate action and deliver value instantly.

But our original homepage wasn’t doing that. Users often landed, hesitated, and left. Discovery felt disjointed, navigation required too many steps, and recommendations weren’t personalized enough to build trust.

As the Senior Product Designer, I led the redesign to transform the homepage into a personalized discovery hub — one that reduces cognitive load, showcases value instantly, and connects users to meaningful actions faster. The result: a more intuitive, motivating, and data-driven entry point that keeps users exploring and coming back.
